I just thought I'd like to get the ball rolling (those of you who know of my rubber fetish will get this pun).

How did you get started with an interest in Keds?

Did it just come about? Was there some special girl? Did it spring from some other fetish such as shoes?

I don't recall exactly when it started. I know growing up I always liked to wear sneakers and even used to wear Keds, and sometimes the knock-offs. My mom and dad would buy me Keds champion style sneakers to wear. I was born in 1961 and I guess back then guys would wear the champion style. I also wore the boat/deck style. In jr. high and high school the jox running shoes were popular and converse. I had a wide variety.

Whenever puberty kicked in somehow I associated wearing sneakers with it and since always have. I used to sneak my moms sneakers when I was older (she had Keds styles).

I would even sneak some of my sisters friends when they slept over night. Even when I was dating I would look for girls who looked good in sneakers. Most of my girl friends didn't wear the Keds style, but Nike was popular. My wife always liked the Nike Cortez and we both still have some pairs. I was glad when the Keds became popular again in the 80's and my kind of knew of my fetish when we got married in 1982.

I don't remember exacly when but about 5 to 6 years into the marriage I bought her some Keds and she started wearing them for me, but just for sex. Eventually though she started wearing them more often and out of the house and now wears them every so often out.

She still prefers her Skechers for work and most of the time, but we do have our "bedroom sneakers" which are mostly Keds. I "always" her to wear them, but she doesn't always want to - this goes back and forth, but at the same time she does comply about 98% of the time.

I've been trying to figure out what it is exactly that I like about Keds in particular or sneakers in general. I love the Champion style - and the way it looks on and off the foot. I like new, but mostly prefer worn and slightly dirty - a smooth sole/bottom is awesome. With or without socks - more towards with or with stockings. I really like the lacey/frilly socks with them.

I like to wear the Keds champions too! I like wearing some womens socks (I like the thin socks) with them, but that's about it for the woman's clothing. I know some guys like to wear more, but that's not me. I do wear some of the styles in public. It really depends. For the champions I've found that the tan, white and black usually don't create much of a stir. My favorite color I can't wear out which is the red at least in the champion. I do have some red Keds Sports that I wear and most people who've mentioned anything say the like them. Go figure! Would really love to find some Surfers again.

Well that's enough for now, hope this gives a good start.

I think it's only fair to tell my story about how I got started.

It all started with a submissiveness towards girls at age of 5 or 6 -- I can't recall any specific event from that time that would cause this. Maybe as a toddler I was laughed at by a bunch of girls while I was naked. Who knows?

From this I had a "thing" about being forced to play girls' games. I had an older sister, and a female cousin my age who lived in the same apartment complex. In bad weather we'd play house, and yes, dolls would be involved. But I was usually the "daddy" (although I remember some play where I was the baby). So "house" wasn't really "girl play" in my book.

There was one game that was uniquely little girl, and it was the one where the girl bounced a rubber ball under her raised leg while reciting, "A my name is Alice and my husband's name is Al we come from Alabama and we sell Apples" going through the entire alphabet all to the cadence of the bouncing ball. Leave it to a girl to figure out a game that involved a ball that wasn't competitive.

Anyway, that game got me to associatea rubber ball as being primarily a girl's toy. I developed an early fetish for rubber balls which eventually spread to include other items containing rubber, including girls and boys sneakers. As I apporached puberty, these fetishes refocused on feminine items made of rubber: balls, "girl sneakers" (Keds) and bathing caps.

I went through puberty in the 60's. Women still wore bathing caps, and Keds were the only kind of sneakers girls wore. Even professional tennis players wore them back then!

I had a lot of opportunity to borrow my sister's sneakers. I had a few Keds-like knock offs of my own. They were worn by boys in those days in a sort of "proto-preppy" look. However, alhtough I might have had exact duplicates of my sister's sneakers, I did not masturbate with them. There was something about a girl's foot having been inside the sneaker that made it a fetish object. My sister had both real Keds and knock-offs. For a while I went on a knock off fetish looking for different sole styles and rubbers, but came back to the true blue in my 20's.

I like my Keds slightly worn and clean -- this comes from the days of crepe rubber soles which could abrade the heck out of a penis right out of the box. My sister was an active girl who couldn't stop dancing, so she had the soles worn down with just a few wearings. I generally had a range of wear to play with from brand new to totally slick.

I met my wife in 1965 when I was 16 years old and probably at the height of my fetish. She was of course, wearing Keds, but then the other 100 girls at the dance were too! (You don't have to sock hop if you are wearing gym shoes . She was almost 15 at the time.

We dated for over 6 years and got married. We were married for about 3 years before I had the nerve into tricking her into discoverng my fetish. That story is told elsewhere. (on my web site http://www.thebarnyard.net).

My wife is cool with the fetish, and is somewhat active with it. She will wear sneakers if they are comfortable. She loves the relaxed fit, and it was impossible to get them off her feet. Alas, they don't make them anymore. (I think I bought the last pair in her size on line this week). She won't put on a pair of sneakers to go to bed to make love, but she will "forget" to take them off.

She will even masturbate me with her sneakers. She finds it a great alternative to intercourse when she isn't in the mood. It excites her to excite me. She also doesn't mind my buying sneakers to go with just about any outfit or mood she may have. Free sneakers is free sneakers.

The fact that my wife indulges my sneaker fetish is just one of the many wonderful things I love about her.

I think my fetish started at a very young age. I don't know exactly when it started, but I always had a fascination with canvas, rubber, and women. Keds and Converse All Stars are my favorite sneakers on women. I will admit that I own several pair of Keds champs, but I have no desire to wear them in public. I get so aroused when I wear them that I couldn't possibly wear them out and function. My primary attraction is seeing women wear them. Keds are light and soft, almost like a women's skin. On the other hand, I like Converse on women because they were made fo men. There's a certain tomboyish quality when a girl wears them. The first girl I lost my virginity to always wore either a pair of white keds or a pair of pink hitop Chucks. From then on sex and sneakers were tied together. What I don't understand is most women will admit to having a shoe fetish or shoe obsession, but don't relate it to a sexual context. Are they just lying to us or themselves?
