Do you like sneakers trashed??

I have to re-comment on this thread. i am seing girls..my daughter has several friends..who like to wear their sneakers..tends to be Vans or Airwalk slip-ons and Chucks..with huge holes in them ..not really at the toes but on the sides..also with the ripped jeans usaully..seems tobe a fashion statement...just since beginning last spring. Anyone else notice this?

Yeah. I've a slight increase in that also. Usually, they still wear them pretty clean and new around my area, though.

Clean, definitely. Trashed ones are a turn-off. Cons, Vans, Sperrys, they all have to be clean. Dirty is ok, but definitely not trashed. If there's rips, I'm turned off.

For me, i like them to be filthy looking from years of normal constant wear, but not ripped and falling apart. The Best is an old pair of converse where the toecaps and the sides are a beautifuly filthy shiny brown color from stain build up, but NOT mud. When the canvass looks all old and faded but not ripped all over, still all holding together, because then they can still be worn and tied up nice and tightly. The soles can never be smooth enough though.

These are my favourite pair. Ever. They are the perfect chucks for me, and whenever i put them on it only takes me a minute before i can "enjoy" the associated magical sensations over and over again.

Thank you so much! I do have other converse which are very dirty and still in one piece, but none as amazing as them. I didnt personally wear them out like that, i found them at a yard sale a lady was selling all her daughters sneakers while she was away overseas. When i first saw them my heart skipped about ten beats. To this day my heart races and i get spasms of excitement whenever i am putting them on and looking at the wonderfully dirty shiny toecaps.

That must have been a shock for the daughter when she returned, I guess. At least the mother didn't throw them away right away. And big luck for you ^^
