Leather Tretorns

Does anyone have an opinion about the current leather Tretorns? I suspect that they are not real leather as they don't appear to age well. They look nice when they are new but seem to break down more than you would expect a leather sneaker to do.

Were the vintage Tretorns from the 1980's real leather?

I agree. While they look good, they aren't comfortable to wear for long periods. I bought a pair of womens size 12 (I believe) that were super comfortable to try on in the store (TJ Maxx), but wearing them walking around all day isn't great. So I just use them at home for fun times!
