Here's a behind the scenes pic from one of the Beach party movies. Check out the girl with her keds in the guy's lap. Doesn't that mid sixties type of girl fit perfectly with keds? I don't know if its the body type, the hairstyle, or the clothes, but keds have never looked sexier.

the guy whose lap her feet are in (lucky guy) is also wearing keds anchors, or sperry topsiders. think he is covering a hard on in lap? look at the table behind them too, there is a guy wearing what appears to be either red or navy (can;t tell in black and white photo) keds sneakers with a stripe. they are too slim to be deck sneakers. But in those days, keds champiosn were made for men, and worn by men. In fact, i have a few pair of men's champions that I bought in the 80's, white ones, black ones, and bright royal blue. then of course my collection of anchors, mainsails, and then sperrys.
