These used to be what you called "Boat Shoes". And people knew what you meant. But now if you refer to boat shoes , you're referring to more of a leather oxford. And Sperry sells lots of those.  So "Boat Sneakers"  is the best description now.

Yeah. I grew up calling them boat shoes. The best were Sperry with the razor soles, then Keds had a couple very similar. Now a days Vans seem to have the market but they call them skate shoes. The big difference is Vans soles are for street wear wear the Sperry and Keds were for wet surfaces like on boats and docks.
