I'm aware this question will cause the tech-savvy among us to roll their eyes, but would you mind explaining what program or technique to use to capture screen shots from video?
I have a fair amount of older videos I'd be glad to go through and post screen shots once I know how. Any help will be appreciated.

VLV Media Player does the job. It will play just about any format of video and can do screen grabs as well as clips of scenes.

Google asks "Did you mean VLC"? If that's the one, (it's open source freeware) I'll download it right away. If there is a VLV, I didn't locate it.
But if VLC is the one, I'll give it a try soon and hopefully have a some captures from older videos to share.
