Hi - I have a similar one that I bought - the black T-boot. I didn't buy the white because it has colored foxing (I think that's the right term).
I'm glad to see that they have made the black with a black bottom - the one I have is red - but that's OK for me, but I would like to get the black/black version. It also comes in gray with some colored piping.
Thanks for the heads up. I do agree that the sole is not that great - I wish it was back to the standard pebble gum sole, but these do fit well.
My t-boot has a heavier canvas and are very comfortable.
