Image Keds Slipons making a comeback?

I notice that Sketchers, Vans and others are coming out with slip ons. Women and girls seem to be wearing them. Could this be an opening back towards champions?

Champs reigned supreme from about 1950 to 1975 (rubber was no longer a wartime critical commodity and when running shoes came in) and again from about 1985 to 1995. Seems to be 15 to 20 years on the cycle. So 2010 is the next wave? We are not too far off the "schedule."

yeah you're absoloutly right , i've been noticing a lot of teens and young adults are now wearing slip-ons again, i guess everything goes in a cycle, i'am actually starting to see more keds around where i live so i'm guessing this will get better especially when they are sponsoring keds with Mischa.

The Sears Sunday ad insert in my local paper had a girl with slipons on the cover page.
