Hey guys & gals.

About a week ago I bought some brand new classic white Adidas Superstars. I wore them for 4 days in a row and unfortunately they got a little dirty. Mostly the sole so I just used a brush some soap and of course water to make them as new again.

However... Now I notice the soles are squeaking A LOT. And not in the basketball way but whenever I put pressure on my forefoot, iow every step forward. I can even make em squeak by pressing the sole from inside and outside at the same time.

So I'm wondering, was this my fault by brushing the soles so long that the water got inside there? I'm know they can withstand rain, why not this.

And more importantly, can I do something to remove it?

Re: Superstar squeaky soles?

In my experience it might be the soap that had left a resuide on the soles & so they squeak - like you have polished them.
Is there water between the insole & the sole? I have cleaned many pairs in the shower (ahem) & as long as they totally dry out I have never had any problems! Best to put them in an airing cupboard or somewhere to ensure thay are totally dry.
Let me know if this helps....
If I don't know - then nobody will 🙂
