Alert Keds The Goldbergs (disappointing)

I have been watching the Goldbergs for awhile now and I notice that there hardly are any keds or even knock offs. When I grew up in the 80s lots of girls wore the sneakers over converse because keds looked more fem. Lots of guys, including myself wore cons during the 80s, and sometimes there was a scatter girl that wore them. But the big thing was Keds sneakers. Also another thing I notice that leggings are worn on the show allot. Where are the females that wore tights and keds. I remember that lots of the girls wore white tights with keds or bright coloured tights. It is like a whole fashion of the 80s is completely lost to the fashion designer on the show. i am guessing they must have grown up in the 90s because what I have seen so far on The Goldbergs is 90s fashion more so than 80s. It is really disappointing. Here are some photos to show what I am talking about

The mom wears Reebok Freestyle highs quite a bit (different colors also) - as does her daughter in the earlier seasons. There was a younger girlfriend or 2 that wore low Cons. In the high school hallway scenes, you can see a mix of cons, Keds & some others - but you have to look for them. Earlier on there were some slouch socks with the Reeboks. Now its just slouchy leggings.

I agree in the early episodes you did see some of the cast wear them (not lainey) but now it is all converse. At least with the girl who played Dana she wore navy or white keds. But so far this year none of the girls in the cast wear them.
