In a previous post (since deleted) it was suggested that wealthier women were & more likely to wear Keds than their less wealthy counterparts.
I think the link is more along political lines. The more conservative women tend
to wear more conservative shoes. Down here in the Bible Belt, there are a lot of Keds clad church ladies. Not that they wear Keds to church, but they do seem to wear them everywhere else.
