I guess it's because not everyone likes worn and dirty chucks. Personally, I think he should've destroyed them before letting them go if he dosn't like them. But that's just me.

I am trying to wear my sneaks to the "point of no return":

when they are completely f***ed up with holes and tears, that they are uncomfortable to wear, I destroy them completely.

So, in part, I may agree to this ...
