When you start a new thread or reply in the "Go Advanced" mode you scroll down a bit and will see a button "Manage Attachments" its pretty straight forward from there.
I have no knowledge of Mac's but there are others here that can help you with that.

I use a mac, and it's pretty much as Seeker said - go to manage attachments, then when the window opens you can upload (in blocks of 20) your images, once they've uploaded click done, add some text and post your message.
