Those "ALL STARS" are some sort of Brazilian knock-offs. I dont know how they get away with it though. Dont they have copyright laws??? 😕
Only thing i will say about them is that they are made more like 1980's chucks. Its a shame Converse (Nike 🙁 ) still dont make them like this, oh well.

I have been to Brasil and have first hand experience of them. They are not that bad but dont last as long. There are absolutely loads of people that wear them incl the school kids. There are loads of different varieties, styles colors also, and cheap! The black/red high tops remind me of a brand that was available over here in the UK late 80s called "American AllStar" do you remember them. I remember pleanty of girls at school that couldnt afford chucks & wore them during "fourth year". Knock offs they might be but they are interesting. Me, I dont like ultra highs so much anyway.
I am still in the market for some decent "bound in chucks" pics...

Yeah i remember those "American Allstars" LOL. I had forgot all about them. When you said about girls at school wearing them, it brought it all back. 😀
You could get them with red, yellow or green foldover tops. 🙂
A girl in my class had a pair with yellow fold overs. I pissed her off big time one day and she kicked me in the balls while wearing them. 😱
Those rubber top-caps are NOT as soft as you first think when someone gets you right in the family jewls with them 🙁 LOL.
I can also remember certain girls wearing them for cross-country, and getting them all wet, muddy and messy. 😀

I remember reading that Converse wasn't available in most of South America. The All Star brand was created to fulfill that market and has gain very loyal customer base. Converse is suppose to be available down there soon and there's a little bit of controversy. Will the All Star customers drop them for the original Converse? Wh knows?
