I remember an older magazine ad and having trouble remembering what it was for. In it a woman is walking on a wet but not sopping wet beach (the impression is that she was out clamming), the sand was definitely not dry because you could clearly see she had on navy keds. The one foot is leaving a foot print. That's why I know it wasn't so dry that the sand covered her foot and not real wet that she sank in. Any way, it was a great looking picture and I'd love to locate it. Does it ring a bell with anyone? I think it was for a cigarette ad, but I have searched so many cigarette ad images but have not come up with it. I try to think of ads that depict people in relaxing or peaceful situations. (hence the woman a lot of time would have on sneakers and, when luck, be wearing keds sneakers).

Newport cigarettes had ads back in the 1990’s that had women wearing Keds. One ad I recall was a man and a woman washing a car. She was wearing white Keds that were slightly wet and muddy from the water.
Another ad I recall was from the early 1908’s for Kiawah Island. It showed a family riding their bikes on the beach. The woman was wearing white Tretorns with a blue stripe. They looked brand new as you would expect for an ad. The next picture of the same family was them digging something out of the sand on the shoreline. Her one foot appeared to be dug into the wet sand. In the third photo the family is back on their bikes and the woman’s left Tretorn is now two-tone: half white and half black from where she sank into the sand. I’m guessing that wasn’t meant to happen.
